Combining noise rock cut-and-slash with the Afro-centric pulse of dub, they have a sound that is truly their own. 'I Love You' (Yah Tibyah La Blu) is the catchy descendant of an improv- isational noise trio called Tobacco Painless that formed in 2004. As 'I Love You', they have toured extensively and recorded two EPs, Six Trick Pony (2006) and Drone, Drugs and Harmony (out Nov. 2008) as well as a 12" split. The band lives and rehearses in an abandoned storefront in Kansas City, Missouri, "The Paris of the Plains."
